Which question each tool answers
Analytics is not one tool but several. Each one answers a different business question:
| Business question | Where to look |
|---|---|
| Do people find me on Google, and with which searches? | Search Console, the Google tool for website owners |
| What do they do when they arrive, and how many contact me? | Website analytics (Google Analytics or another), with consent |
| Which campaign or post brought customers? | Links tagged by channel, which analytics keeps apart |
| Do ChatGPT and other assistants name me? | A fixed set of questions every month, noted by hand |
| Is my site fast on real phones? | Google field data from real users, when there are enough visits |
What is usually missing first
A website can have analytics installed and count visits but not contacts, because nobody set up a sent form, a click on WhatsApp or a call from a phone to count as what they are: possible customers. Without that, there is no way to know which page or channel brings business.
So the first step is to agree with you what a valuable contact is for your business and measure that. Everything else comes after.
What the monthly report looks like
This is what you get:
- One page, written to be read in five minutes without being technical.
- What happened: visits, searches, contacts and where they came from.
- What it means for your business, compared with the previous month and, when there is data, with the same month last year (in Mallorca, the season changes everything).
- What I will do next month.
- And if a month was worse, I tell you and explain why.
Price
Analytics costs €120 a month plus VAT. You can take it on its own or inside the pack with SEO and GEO, which is where it makes most sense: measuring without acting has a limit.
